(L-R) Director General, Secretary, Logistics Officer, Technical Operations Director, discussing Corona Virus

As a responsible mining company concerned with the well-being of workers clients and the general public, BFG Consulting and Services has joined the fight against the Corona Virus. On instructions of the Chairman, Dr David Makongo, a strategic meeting took place on Monday March 16 2020 at the company headquarters, Conakry, Republic of Guinea.

covid19 BFG Consulting and Services’ Director General told the restricted meeting that beyond seeking God’s intervention concrete measures need to be taken to avoid contamination or infection with the Coronavirus. Mr Sereko Camara drew the attention of his closest collaborators on the need to constantly sensitize the rest of the staff.

As a company in the sensitive mining sector we have taken immediate preemptive measures. We have placed anti-bacterial water contained hand washing buckets at the entrance of the company and no one moves into our offices without keeping his hands clean. We have also distributed hand sanitizer gels to all staff for use in their offices. We have also placed the sanitizing gels on strategic points in out premises. We are proving face masks as well. Our conference room and all offices have been kept thoroughly clean and fresh.’ Mr Sereko Camara said.

We also advice our staff to notify the office in case they have any symptoms like fever or running nostrils or when they feel any signs of sickness. This would help us do a follow up. We are also following the advice from the Ministry of Health of the Guinean government,’ he adds.

Apart from taking such measures within the company premises, the DG of BFG consulting also advice that the same hygiene and sanitation measures should be applied at home.

Different BFG and Consulting staff expressed satisfaction with the measures put in place by the company to prevent any infection with the Coronavirus
