ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Senior member of the Circle of Geological Engineers and Miners of Guinea (CIGM), Camara Ibrahim Himmy graduated from the Higher Institute of Mines and Geology, Boké in 2005 with a Geological Engineering Degree. With passion for technical mining operations, he has been trained in Rabat Morroco on Remote Sensing in Mining, on Arc GIS Desktop I and II by ESRI in South Africa and in Project management.
Certified in Geology, topography, mining softwares including ArcGIS.DNR Garmin; GPS in the field; MapSource and Map info, he has trained on Health Safety Environmental Community and holds a licence in defensive driving. As an administrator always eager to develop skills, he recived training on NI 43-10, in 2016.

Area of Expertise

Camara Himmy has expertise in Mining Exploration ( mapping, shaft sinking, trench digging, drilling, interpretation of analysis results, database management, programming of fieldwork), feasibility studies for the acquisition of mining permits and also has a soft spot for Social and community environmental impact of projects (public consultation, public restitution, inventory of public goods, assessment of community assets and compensation process).

Work Experience

For more the 15 years Camara Himmy has Coordinated exploration work on SBG company mining permits in Kouroussa and field exploration work on the various mining permits of CAMEN RESOURCES SARL for 6 years (Siguiri gold, Mandiana, Faranah iron, Kouroussa and Kissidougou, Telimele bauxite, Boffa, Boke and Fria among others. He worked in other companies between 2012 and 2017 including SELLA MINING, Krezus Mining, SMG-GUIORD, Soguipami, Dynamic Mining , where he handled technical operations.
In the domain of environmental and social impact studies, SMB Mining Company of Boké, SOGUIPAMI Guinean Heritage Mining Company, GMR Guinea Mineral Resources, all enjoyed his savoire faire between 2009 and March 2012. Camara Himmiy has been Geologist and topographer of the exploration of Boffa Santou Houda (BSH) project at BHP Billiton Aluminum Guinea for 3 years.

Special Skills

Before joining BFG Consuting & Services in 2018 as Director of Techinical Operations, he was heading the Geology Department of the BENKADY GUINEE SARL Company.
At BFG Consulting & Services, Camara Himmy is in charge of :
- Programming of the mining works ;
- Management of the company's databases ;
- Supervision of drilling works ;
- Geological description of samples (screw drilling, core drilling) ;
- Mapping plates and developing maps using the ARCGIS software Mechanical treatment of samples ;
- Development of geological maps based on the analysis results ;
- Followed digging work of the trench ;
- Sampling of the flanks ;
He remains strategic in drawing up and implementing BFG Consulting & Service policy on :
 Implantation of the mining points
 Sampling during drilling of mine holes
 Interpretation of the analysis results
 Truck planning in different fronts for homogenisation
With wealth of experience he has developed skills to determine the magnetism of rocks, geological description of samples (screw drilling, core drilling) geomorphology of mining zones, installation of base stations and benchmarks for topographic work.
Although Camara Himmy officially speaks French he has an intermediate understanding of and speaks English and other local Language. His first great achievement in BFG Consulting & Services is his successful spearheading the prepeartion and presentation of the Houda Bauxite Project, that was validated by the Guinean Ministry of Mines and Geology on September 18 2018.
